White House 2022

  • In recognition of Brain Cancer Awareness Month, the White House Cancer Moonshot convened leaders from the brain cancer community, including patients, caregivers, oncologists, researchers, advocacy organizations, philanthropy, and industry for a Brain Cancers Forum on May 24, 2023.
  • We can proudly say that we were invited to the White House to be part of this milestone event and share stories of our kids and suggest ways to fund and foster research in the field of DIPG.

    LA ACS CAN

-American Cancer Society - Cancer Action Network is a team of volunteers and staff that have a significant impact on helping patients with cancer and the volunteers are mostly who have been impacted by cancer who rally together to demand change from elected officials.
- Our foundation participated in the 2023 Annual ACS CAN Ambassador Summit held in Los Angeles, CA. The summit aimed to develop advocacy skills and cultivate teamwork among all volunteers. The summit helped our board members identify ways to connect with local volunteers and also reach out to state legislators and senators regarding pressing childhood cancer issues.

    California State Capitol

We represented our district in California for ACS CAN Cancer Action Day on April 11, 2023, and met with California senators Aisha Wahab and Legislator Alex Lee and asked them to garnish their support for the resolution declaring September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in California.

    Alliance for childhood cancer

Proud to join the Alliance for Childhood Cancer for #ActionDay2023 to urge my members of Congress to do their part for kids with cancer by fully funding the Childhood Cancer STAR Act, the most comprehensive childhood cancer bill in history. Sharing our story with members of Congress ensured the voice of children with cancer was heard loud and clear!
